Camera Shy

I've been reading several blogs lately that talk about how much they prefer reading other blogs that include personal pictures. I also love to read blogs that show other bloggers kids, homes, hobbies, etc. Here is my dilemma. I am completely technologically illiterate. I can cook, I can throw a pretty fabulous party, I can decorate, and I can do a pretty fierce tango (well, not really), but I have no idea how to use a digital camera. It feels so good to confess! My in-laws got us a digital camera 3 years ago and it's still sitting in it's box. The hubby and I will look at it once in a while and say, "Yeah we should figure that thing out," but alas, we're still using an antiquated camera that probably could have been seen in "The Breakfast Club." The last time I bought film for this thing (and I'm not kidding), all of the film cartridges in the store were covered with dust. Clearly no one buys this kind of film anymore except those of us who still live in the dark ages.

So, that being said I'm going to make a very late new years resolution and try to figure this thing out, as long as we still have all the parts. If successful, I want accolades and a lot of fanfare (just being my humble self). But I'll be excited to start posting some "real" things!

You can do it!! I've had a digital for a bit and I used to have my husband move the pictures to the computer! No more! Now I just take the pictures I want, hook the cable to the computer and the software takes over! I simply have to answer yes to upload! You can do it!!! You have the power!! May the force be with you!! HA...

Once you go digital you'll never go back. I love how easy it is to load my pictures onto my PC, edit and share them. Plus you can see the photo right after you've taken it...if you don't like it, just retake!

Kodak makes a really easy one to use and learn. It even comes with its own docking station.

We are on our 3rd digital in 5 years. My 4 year old has one of the old ones. Even he can use the screen to line up what he wants and take the pic!

You will love it once you make the switch.

Don't fear the digital age! LOL It amazes me that a few years ago I was whining about how we didn't need a big, old, ugly computer in our house and if we had to get one we also were not going to plop it on a folding table in the family room...so we also had to purchase an armoire to hide it...yes, I did! Now...I think I am addicted to the silly thing and keep the doors of said armoire open almost all the time because I might need to check email or read blogs...or shop! LOL
